2 cans pie filling – your choice
1 package white or yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup chopped nuts – your choice, optional

Grease bottom of 4 1/2 – 6 quary crock pot
Add pie filling
Spread cake mix over the pie filling (yes, dry)
Drizzle butter over DRY cake mix
Sprinkle nuts on top

Cook on low 4 hours or high for 2 hours.

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
